It's worth it. I have no freaking clue what I'm doing and these pictures are already light years better! Take a look at my two guinea pigs:








My rings and my dog. I always struggled getting decent shots of both, especially indoors with the flash....Henry because he always closes his eyes during the flash, and my rings because diamonds are just hard to get focused [at least on our point and shoot].

Ah, I forsee many more picture-laden posts in the future! Can't wait until I actually understand the settings and take it off 'automatic'.

On a sad note, I am getting very old. I've always boasted perfect 20/20 vision and have never needed to hassle with glasses/contacts/etc. But inside the little viewfinder of our camera, there are green numbers that will appear. I told Nate that there must be a way to focus the numbers since they are all blurry and he informed me that it's my eyes, not the camera [as he peered through his coke-bottle glasses]. Curses! My eyes are failing me at my old age!
